Free Membership Program Offers In-Depth Homebuyer Education & Resources |
(Baton Rouge) – Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) is launching an all-new Lock & Key Homebuyers Club to provide in-depth homebuyer education, counseling, and support to families who desire homeownership yet may have faced prior challenges in their efforts to realize that goal. UREC will offer four Lock & Key Homebuyers Club sessions throughout 2023 on a quarterly basis. There is no cost to participate, as each club is offered through partnerships with: Cadence Bank, Chase, Hancock Whitney Bank, Red River Bank and Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation. Red River Bank will sponsor the first Lock & Key Homebuyers Club, which will take place January 26, 2023 – March 2, 2023. Sessions will take place at St. Mary’s Baptist Church, 1252 N Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge. Lock & Key is a hands-on, 3-month membership-based initiative that provides members with individual and group counseling, a detailed credit plan, and access to closing cost and down payment resources while working with experts.
